The project supports the City of Cape Town’s vision to capitalise on the emergence of 3 new rail stations along the new Blue Downs Rail Link by designing multimodal hubs. This is in accordance with transit-oriented development objectives that aim to showcase pilot projects and future urban interventions in the city. Framework plans at a range of scales were proposed for each station, with more detail including a business plan for Blue Downs Station.
