Urban Design
we plan and design for the long term
GAPP’s urban design practice is directed at the tangible and viable improvement of towns and cities for the benefit of people and the planet. We recognise that the complex challenges of climate change, infrastructure failure, social tension and economic stress play out in development and regeneration projects. Our goal is to consistently design neighbourhoods, streets and spaces that make a positive contribution to the transformation, regeneration and rebuilding of our built environment.
Our work is guided by humanist and environmentally-centred values and design principles with each project an opportunity to deliver outcomes that are visionary while also of their place, respectful of their users and resilient in the face of unknown futures.
Informed by decades of experience, our urban design team thrive on the challenge of delivering meaningful and effective urban design policies, frameworks, plans and implementation strategies that foster sustainable and vibrant living environments.
Our project track record covers transit-oriented development, campus planning, mixed-use development, affordable housing, residential development, public transport precincts, small town regeneration, CBD regeneration, brownfields redevelopment, waterfronts and resorts.
